Ok, let me tell you, Temptation Cancun Resort is absolutely my favorite resort! I still cannot believe how much fun it was.
In short: If you are a free-spirited traveler that wants to have a great time, you will love it here. If you are someone who would be offended by a topless resort, then this is not the right place for you.
The good news is, if it is a fit for you: many of the people I met there said they love it so much that they go 2-4 times a year.
From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with drinks as you enter a beautiful, bright and colorful hotel. No matter how tired you are from the flight, walking in to the Temptation Cancun Resort immediately livens you up and puts you in a party mood!

Temptation Cancun Resort Review
Is this the right resort for you?
Temptation is definitely a party hotel, it is like a never ending spring break for adults.
It is somewhere you go to loosen up and have fun, not a resort for R&R. There are spaces you can relax if you are hungover or need a party break (full-service spa, quiet pool, sky lounge, your room, etc), but it is mostly meant to be a place to party.
The thing I loved most about Temptation, though, was the body positive and empowering vibe. You know I always preach body positivity and this is the perfect place to practice it since it is a topless-optional resort. I promise you that you will leave feeling completely free, refreshed and liberated.
The pool and beach area is topless optional, and seeing so many people comfortable and confident walking around topless was just so empowering. I can’t even explain the feeling, but it is something you have to experience for yourself. It is literally not uncomfortable at all, it is just encouraging and positive. So, if you’re nervous, believe me when I tell you the nerves will quickly subside once you are there. And if they don’t, it’s optional not mandatory!
Outdoor Pool Area
Most of the partying at Temptation is at the sexy pool. Most of the events are held there and some on the beach. The sexy pool is huge and you will see a lot of topless people there.
Both the sexy pool and the quiet pool have a hot tub as well. Actually, the sexy pool has several hot tubs. There is also a large hot tub away from the outdoor swimming pool, but it overlooks the sexy pool.
Fitness Options at Temptation Cancun Resort
Temptation has a full, air conditioned wellness centre where you can workout. It has everything from the Stair Master, to weights to an area for pole dancing.
They also offer some amazing fitness classes with their personal trainers. The fitness classes WILL make you work! If you are looking for an intense workout, I recommend the workout classes. They have some on the beach and in that heat, you definitely sweat.
If you just want to exercise alone, though, the fitness centre was usually pretty empty.
Food at Temptation Cancun Resort
The food at Temptation is delicious! I mean they really have great food. I had already read reviews about how good their food was, but was still surprised at just how good it was.
I didn’t get to try every single restaurant, but I LOVED Sutra. They have a Hibachi section and the food is amazing (requires a reservation). I also really loved the sky bar and grill at their Sky lounge- the shrimp tacos and curly fries are a must have!
The Italian restaurant also has extremely good food.
They have food options for every diet- whether vegan, keto, gluten free, etc, there are definitely options.
Their variety of dining options is one of the best things about them. I just wish I could try everything!
The snack bar is always open and easy for a quick grab and go meal in between your bigger meals. They also have 24-hour room service.
Also, it truly is an all-inclusive resort because all of their restaurants were fully included.
Parties at Temptation Cancun Resort
The atmosphere at the parties is something out of this world. And this is someone who has spent years partying in the bustling Chicago club scene.
Since most people go there to party, their club is never empty and everyone is up and dancing.
Their Playmakers also make sure that everyone is having a good time. Their staff members are truly incredible and friendly.
Not to mention, since it is an all inclusive resort, there is just something about not having to pay for your drinks that makes it that much more fun. And yes, everyone there is pretty wasted. But the uninhibited guests is what makes it so fun and such an amazing experience.
I don’t know what the average age of guests are, but I have seen all ages and everyone is having just as much fun!
They have a show every night at 10PM, so it’s perfect to have dinner and then head to the show. Every night has a different theme and the show is based on that theme. From acrobats to 50 Shades of Grey type of shows- their entertainment is not just a cheesy hotel show- it is actually really amazing entertainment and you can tell they put effort in to it.

- Thursday: School Girls & Nerds
- Friday: White Party
- Saturday: Glow Party
- Sunday: Boogie Nights

Also, during the day, they have parties at the sexy pool like foam parties or on the beach like the boobs cruise.
Activities at Temptation Cancun Resort
Another great thing about Temptation is that there is ALWAYS something to do. The list of daily activities is very easy to find and read, right by the main pool.
All of their non-motorized water sports are included with your stay, so you have free access to the kayaks or can go on a Hobbie Cat sail whenever you want.
The Playmakers are also always hosting activities at the main pool and the DJ is also there playing music.
Of course, you can also go on the private beach and enjoy the ocean.
Staff at Temptation Cancun Resort
The staff here is so nice! They are some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. You can tell they genuinely care about your stay and are always willing to help. They also very much want everyone to have fun.
They are young, fun and full of energy.
If you’re worried about a language gap, everyone I came across spoke english very, very well.
Dress Code at Temptation Cancun Resort
There is no dress code, you can dress as wild or as tame as you want. You will see anything and everything.
It is a topless optional resort, but you cannot be topless anywhere. You do have to wear full clothing at restaurants.
Regardless, it is a very sexy atmosphere and that is the vibe most of the hotel guests go with.
Room Type
You can either get an ocean view room or a garden view. If you can swing it, I definitely recommend getting an ocean view room.
Although you wont spend a ton of time in your room, it’s beautiful to wake up to that view every morning.
All rooms have air conditioning that works really well and a flat screen TV. They also have free wi-fi.
The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, the rooms are modern, spacious and the bathrooms are nice and big.
