It’s pretty amazing and a game changer, so I wanted to give you all a full Hidrate Spark 2.0 review and give you some details on how this smart water bottle works.
How the Hidrate Water Bottle Works
The first thing you will do when you get your water bottle is connect it, via bluetooth, to the smart phone app. Then you will fill in your profile and it will customize a daily water intake goal for you (you can change this if you want). Once that’s set up, you can start using your water bottle.
The Hidrate Spark water bottle has a sensor attached to the cap that tracks how much water is in your water bottle at all times. So, if you fill it- it knows. When you drink water, it knows.
Then it sends this information to a smart phone app via bluetooth.
So, you will get cute notifications (my favorite is “water you doing?” LOL) every time you are falling behind on your water intake goal. Of course, the beauty of the bottle is that it glows to remind you to drink up!

So if you miss the glow, you’ll see the notification on your phone and/or smartwatch. If you miss the notification, you’ll see the glow. Either way, you will know you need to drink water almost immediately.
It also syncs to Fitbit!
Is the Hidrate Spark Water Bottle Accurate?
For me, it has been very accurate. I’ve been paying extra attention to every time I fill it and every time I drink, just to check the accuracy.
I haven’t had any issues with it not syncing with my phone.
I do make sure to let it stand straight, on a flat surface, for 10 seconds every time I fill it.
Does the Hidrate Spark Water Bottle Actually Help?
Yes, yes, yes!
It’s so effortless to keep track of your water intake this way. Plus, it’s much more convenient than carrying around a gallon of water all day (it looks a lot better too!).
Chasing two kiddos around all day, I honestly wouldn’t have a clue when I’m behind on my water intake. This bottle, however, keeps me on track because I can’t miss the bright glow or the notifications on my phone and watch.
Even my husband will tell me “your bottle is going off again.”
Hidrate Water Bottle Design
The bottle looks really modern and sleek. It also comes in several pretty colors, my favorite being the teal one.
I love that it has a finger loop so you can easily carry it around. It’s also small enough to fit in your purse, but large enough to hold 24oz.
I also love that you can throw it in the dishwasher, just remove the sensor before doing so.
I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about the design so far.
It looks good, cleans easily and is easy & comfortable to drink out of.
